4 Reasons why you shouldn't miss the Get Connected Annual Conference

Thursday 11 October Economic Board Utrecht is organizing the Get Connected annual conference. This year the stage will be a very special place: the Global Goals Climate Planet on the renovated Jaarbeursplein in Utrecht. The Get Connected annual conference is also very relevant for startups. Check out these four reasons why.

1) Because the program is dedicated to a theme that concerns the lives of everyone: Healthy Urban Living

The arrival of the Climate Planet, a globe of 20 meters high, offers a unique opportunity to take stock and show how we as a region contribute to the realization of the Global Goals. Where do we lead the world and where do we need to take an extra step? The world in Utrecht, Utrecht in the world. During the Get Connected annual conference, various interactive sessions take place in the morning at various locations in the station area. During the plenary program, keynote Winy Maas will share his vision on healthy urbanization, quality of life and area development, StartupDelta Special Envoy Constantijn van Oranje will talk about startups, scaleups, the startup climate in the Utrecht region and how it can contribute to the Global Goals. 2) Because you can contribute to a startup climate change

In the morning, various interactive work sessions, focus groups and 'meet & match' meetings take place at various locations in the station area (ANNE, RaboGroenhuis, Beatrixgebouw). One of the sessions is organized by StartupUtrecht. During this focus group we ask you to think along with us about the new strategic agenda of StartupUtrecht. The past two years have seen great results, which have helped startups and scale-ups to grow. We want to maintain and further expand this positive vibe over the next two years. But for that we need your help. Because we do it for you. During this session we would like to talk to you about the new program of StartupUtrecht. What do startups and scale-ups in the Utrecht region need? Where are the opportunities and obstacles? And what should we use our energy for? Contribute to a startup climate change.

The focus group StartupUtrecht takes place from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Also check out the complete overview of the morning sessions and sign in.

3) Because you can help improve education

The Utrecht region is full of good ideas and initiatives in which modern technology is used to improve education. These EduTech initiatives and working groups often have no knowledge of each other's existence. There is room for improvement. In this networking session we bring together various EduTech initiatives. If we strive to scale up and profile Utrecht as the EduTech region, we must make what is there visible, offer more opportunities and share knowledge and information. In which places are we working on which promising educational projects? How can you contribute? And who do you need to take your initiative forward? Meet them here! Come to this networking session, where together we will strengthen the Utrecht EduTech community.

The networking session will take place from 09:00 am to 10:30 am. Also check out the complete overview of the morning sessions and sign in.

4) Because you learn how to get media-attention for your startup

Startups and scaleups in the Utrecht region are indispensable for innovation and renewal of the economy. Startups often have beautiful stories and innovative ideas, products and services that contribute to solutions for healthy urban living. In this partner session from Utrecht Marketing you get topnotch tips how get that story in the media. From writing press releases, do's and don'ts to pitching your story to a journalist, it will all be discussed on October 11th at the Get Connected annual conference.
